I was hit by a car as a pedestrian, am I covered under my auto policy?
Yes, if you’re the named insured under an auto policy, chances are your injuries will be covered under Medical Payments found in your auto policy. There is water in my basement, am I covered?
You are covered only if your policy has a Water Backup Endorsement Form. Water backup is different from flood insurance and neither usually comes standard in your Homeowner’s policy.
My parked car was hit in the parking lot. Am I covered with Comprehensive?

What is the difference between Uninsured and Underinsured Bodily Injury?
Uninsured motorist coverage helps pay your medical, lost wages or car repair bills due to an accident caused by an uninsured driver. Underinsured motorist coverage helps cover the differences between what the at fault driver bodily injury limits are and your medical, lost wages, or car repair bills are due to an accident. Having bodily injury limits higher than the state minimum will protect you the most if involved in an accident with injuries.
